At Yorke Eye Centre, we aim to provide high-quality optical products and a consistent standard of patient care. Our warranty policy ensures that your spectacles, lenses, and eyewear products perform as expected and meet our quality standards.
Frame Warranty
All optical frames purchased from Yorke Eye Centre include a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship.
This warranty does not cover:
· Accidental damage
· Misuse or improper handling
· General wear and tear
· Lost or stolen items
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the frame at no charge.
Lens Warranty
Prescription lenses include the following protection:
1. Scratch-Resistant coating warranty
Lenses with a scratch-resistant coating are covered by a 12-month warranty against coating defects.
This does not cover scratches caused by improper cleaning or lack of care.
2. Anti-Reflective (AR) coating warranty
AR-coated lenses are covered for peeling, cracking, or coating failure for 12 months.
3. Premium Lens Packages
Some premium lens brands offer extended warranties. These will be explained at the time of purchase and documented on your invoice.
4. Prescription accuracy guarantee
If you experience difficulty adapting to a new prescription within 90 days, we offer:
· A complimentary recheck by our optometrist
· No-cost remaking of lenses where clinically required
· Modified lenses at no charge
Prescription guarantees apply only if the new prescription was issued by a Yorke Eye Centre optometrist.
Adjustments & Aftercare
Yorke Eye Centre provides free lifetime adjustments, including tightening screws, fitting, and minor realignment of frames.
Sunglasses & Non-Prescription Eyewear
Non-prescription sunglasses and eyewear include a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty for defects. This does not include lens scratches or accidental damage.
Exclusions
The following are not covered under any warranty:
· Damage caused by dropping, heat exposure, pets, or improper storage
· Scratches resulting from cleaning with abrasive materials
· Changes in prescription due to natural vision changes
· Items not purchased directly from Yorke Eye Centre
How to make a warranty claim
Please visit us in-clinic with your eyewear and proof of purchase.
Our team will assess the product and advise whether the issue qualifies for warranty replacement or repair.
